1 | | President of the Senate; one of whom shall be appointed by the |
2 | | Minority Leader of the House of Representatives; and one of |
3 | | whom shall be appointed by the Minority Leader of the Senate. |
4 | | The task force shall prepare a report that does the following: |
5 | | determines the appropriate scope of a program for regulating |
6 | | commercial tax return preparers; addresses the appropriate |
7 | | qualifications, including, but not limited to, minimum |
8 | | educational qualifications and continuing educational |
9 | | requirements for commercial tax return preparers; and |
10 | | considers any other matters the task force determines to be |
11 | | necessary or appropriate. The task force shall meet no less |
12 | | than 3 times before the end of the year in which this |
13 | | amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly becomes effective. |
14 | | The report required under this Section shall be submitted by no |
15 | | later than December 1, 2014 to the Secretary, the Governor, and |
16 | | the General Assembly. Members of the task force shall receive |
17 | | no compensation, but shall be reimbursed for expenses |
18 | | necessarily incurred in the performance of their duties. |
19 | | This Section is repealed on December 1, 2015.

20 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
21 | | becoming law.".
