SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
    Authorizes the Department of Central Management Services to convey certain described real estate to the Rides Mass Transit District for $1. Provides that the property shall revert to the State if the property is no longer used for public purposes. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning land.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The State of Illinois owns the following
5described real estate:
 
6Tract 1:
7    Part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
8Section 14 and part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast
9Quarter of Section 23, all in Township 9 South, Range 2 East of
10the Third Principal Meridian, Williamson County, Illinois,
11being more particularly described as follows:
 
12    Commencing at a concrete monument found at the southeast
13    corner of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
14    said Section 14; thence on the east line of the said
15    Southwest quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section
16    14, North 0 degrees 08 minutes 28 seconds East, 288.83 feet
17    to a concrete monument found at the intersection of the
18    said east quarter-quarter section line with the southerly
19    right of way line of S.B.I. Route 13; thence on the said
20    southerly right of way line, 192.72 feet on a curve to the
21    left, having a radius of 2242.01 feet, the chord of which
22    is South 78 degrees 47 minutes 16 seconds West, 192.66 feet

6    in the Williamson County Recorder's Office; thence
7    continuing on the said southerly right of way line, South
8    76 degrees 43 minutes 34 seconds West, 400.84 feet to an
9    iron pipe found; thence continuing on the said southerly
10    right of way line, 131.81 feet on a curve to the right,
11    having a radius of 2342.01 feet, the chord of which is
12    South 78 degrees 20 minutes 46 seconds West, 131.80 feet to
13    point 25 feet westerly of and perpendicular to the
14    centerline of the entrance road to the State of Illinois
15    Regional Office Building, said point being the point of
16    beginning.

18    with and 25 feet westerly of the said entrance road
19    centerline, South 13 degrees 43 minutes 59 seconds East,
20    139.50 feet to a point on the northerly line of an easement
21    for roadway purposes as described in Miscellaneous Record

23    Office; thence on the said northerly easement line, South

24    southerly line of an easement for roadway purposes as

8    seconds East, 25.67 feet; thence South 63 degrees 28

11    a point on the westerly line of the aforementioned tract of
12    land described in a quit-claim deed recorded in Deed Record
13    Book 397, Page 47; thence on the said westerly tract line,

15    the point of beginning.
 
16    Section 10. Upon the payment of the sum of $1 to the State
17of Illinois, and subject to the conditions set forth in Section
1815 of this Act, the Director of the Department of Central
19Management Services, on behalf of the State of Illinois and all
20State agencies, is authorized to convey by quitclaim deed to
21the Rides Mass Transit District all right, title, and interest
22of the State of Illinois in and to the real estate described in
23Section 5.

1    Section 15. The quitclaim deed shall state on its face and
2be subject to the condition that if the property is no longer
3used for public purposes, then title shall revert without
4further action to the State of Illinois.
 
5    Section 20. The Director of the Department of Central
6Management Services shall obtain a certified copy of this Act
7within 60 days after its effective date, and shall record the
8certified document in the recorder's office in the county in
9which the land is located.
 
10    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
11becoming law.
