SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
765 ILCS 160/1-85 new

    Amends the Common Interest Community Association Act. Provides that notwithstanding any other provision of law, a common interest community association that contains single-family homes does not have authority over the single-family home or the property on which the single-family home is located within the association. Provides that any provision in the declaration and bylaws of the association that is contrary to the new provisions is void.

1    AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Common Interest Community Association Act is
5amended by adding Section 1-85 as follows:
 
6    (765 ILCS 160/1-85 new)
7    Sec. 1-85. Scope of association's authority.
8Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a common interest
9community association that contains single-family homes does
10not have authority over the single-family home or the property
11on which the single-family home is located within the
