Amends the State Property Control Act. Provides that moneys in the State Police Vehicle Fund may be used for the preparation, maintenance, or improvement of State Police vehicles. Effective immediately.

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning finance.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The State Property Control Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 7c as follows:
|
| 6 | | (30 ILCS 605/7c) |
| 7 | | Sec. 7c. Acquisition of State Police vehicles. The State |
| 8 | | Police Vehicle Fund is created as a special fund in the State |
| 9 | | treasury. The Fund shall consist of fees received pursuant to |
| 10 | | Section 16-104c of the Illinois Vehicle Code. All moneys in the |
| 11 | | Fund, subject to appropriation, shall be used by the Department |
| 12 | | of State Police: |
| 13 | | (1) for the acquisition of vehicles for that |
| 14 | | Department; or |
| 15 | | (1.5) for the preparation, improvement, or maintenance |
| 16 | | of vehicles for that Department; or |
| 17 | | (2) for debt service on bonds issued to finance the |
| 18 | | acquisition of vehicles for that Department.
