HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Lillie B.
4Harper of Chicago, who passed away on June 6, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lillie Harper was born on July 28, 1930, in
6Quentin County, Mississippi, to Marion and Edie Ward; she was
7educated in the Quentin County, Mississippi, school system; she
8married Rev. Cardie L. Harper in 1957; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Lillie Harper worked at Heyer Office Machine
10Company as an inspector for 30 years, retiring in 1995; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Lillie Harper taught Sunday School at Maypole
12Avenue Church of Christ and worked in the church's food pantry;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Lillie Harper was preceded in death by her
15husband; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Lillie Harper had 2 children, Maurice Anderson and
17Dorothy Anderson Crawford; 4 brothers; and one sister;
18therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
2we mourn the passing of Lillie Harper, and extend our sincere
3condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
4her; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Lillie Harper as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
