HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, After over 9 years of distinguished service,
3Janice Bonneville will end her tenure with the State as Deputy
4Director of Benefits at Central Management Services; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Janice Bonneville has been highly respected by
6members of the House and Senate for her keen intelligence,
7management expertise, and her accessibility to explain complex
8benefit changes to constituents; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Janice Bonneville represented Central Management
10Services in the 15-month negotiations with AFSCME, which
11resulted in a contract in May of 2013 that saved taxpayers $900
12million in healthcare savings; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Encountering ever more complex challenges from
14mandates, programs, and resources, Janice Bonneville directed
15an interagency group with the Department of Healthcare and
16Family Services to better coordinate benefits to 350,000
17employees, retirees, and dependents; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Janice Bonneville performed legal work at the
19Federal Bureau of Prisons center at Pekin for 11 years prior to
20joining the State; and

1    WHEREAS, A native of Belleville, Janice Bonneville
2graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1990 before
3earning her law degree at Washington University in St. Louis in
41993; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Janice Bonneville is the daughter of Galen and
6Ruby Eschman; she and her husband, Michael, have 4 children,
7Cody, Jennifer (both in the United States Air Force), Johnathan
8(currently at the Air Force Academy), and Mackenzie, at home;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Janice Bonneville will soon join Illinois State
11University as director of employee benefits upon leaving her
12service with the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
15we congratulate Janice Bonneville and wish her every success in
16her future endeavors; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to Janice Bonneville as a symbol of our esteem and
19respect.
