Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that Illinois residents that are retired members of the United States Armed Forces shall not be charged more than $45 for initial or renewal registration for their vehicles.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 3-806.10 as follows:

| 6 | | (625 ILCS 5/3-806.10 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3-806.10. Registration fees for retired military |
| 8 | | members. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 3-806 of |
| 9 | | this Code, retired members of the United States Armed Forces |
| 10 | | who reside in Illinois shall not be charged more than $45 for |
| 11 | | initial issuance or renewal of vehicle registration.
