| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3283

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3283 as follows:
| ||||||
| 3 | on page 7, line 15, after the period, by inserting "The | ||||||
| 4 | Department shall not remove a child from the home of a fictive | ||||||
| 5 | kin on the basis that the fictive kin fails to apply for | ||||||
| 6 | licensure within 6 months of the child's placement with the | ||||||
| 7 | fictive kin, or fails to meet the standard for licensure."; and | ||||||
| 8 | on page 7, line 16, by replacing "January 1, 2015" with "June | ||||||
| 9 | 1, 2015"; and | ||||||
| 10 | on page 7, immediately below line 23, by inserting the | ||||||
| 11 | following: | ||||||
| 12 | "The provisions added to this subsection (b) by this | ||||||
| 13 | amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly shall become | ||||||
| 14 | operative on and after June 1, 2015.".
