SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Susan Fox McGuire, who passed away on
4December 28, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Susan Fox McGuire was born in 1958, in Evanston;
6she grew up in Clarendon Hills and Hinsdale; she married Matt
7McGuire in June of 1990; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Susan Fox McGuire graduated from Hinsdale Central
9High School in 1976; she subsequently graduated from Ripon
10College in Wisconsin in 1980; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Susan Fox McGuire worked in the government bond
12department at Harris Bank; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Susan Fox McGuire was an accomplished
14photographer and enjoyed taking pictures at all her sons' games
15and events; she also loved reading, traveling, cooking, and
16watching TV with her friends; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Susan Fox McGuire served on the boards of the
18Community House in Hinsdale and the Wayne and Helen Fox
19Community Center in West Chicago; she was also very involved
20with the Union Church Preschool Programs and events at Madison

1School; at Madison, she started, edited, and produced the
2school's first newspaper; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Susan Fox McGuire is survived by her husband of 22
4years, Matthew; her children, Benjamin, Declan, and Fox; her
5parents, David W. Fox Sr. and Mary E. "Mike" Fox; her in-laws,
6Gerald F. and Margaret M. McGuire; her siblings, David W.
7(Alexandra) Fox Jr., Katherine Fox (Ryan) Lanham, and Thomas E.
8(Deborah) Fox; her sister-in-law, Mary Anne McGuire; her
9brothers-in-law, Stephen T. (Sarah) McGuire and John P.
10McGuire; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
13her family and friends, the passing of Susan Fox McGuire; and
14be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Susan Fox McGuire as an expression
17of our sympathy.
