SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Lawrence Garbs Jr. of Edwardsville, who 
4passed away on January 16, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lawrence Garbs Jr. was born on September 24, 1928, 
6in Mascoutah; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Lawrence Garbs Jr. worked as an electrician out of 
8IBEW Local 649 in Alton; he served in the U.S. Army during the 
9Korean War; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Lawrence Garbs Jr. enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, 
11and men's fastpitch softball; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Lawrence Garbs Jr. was preceded in death by his 
13sister and his grandson, Ryan Garbs; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Lawrence Garbs Jr. is survived by his sons, Doug 
15(Jill), Greg (Joyce), Larry, Scott, and Chris Garbs; his 5 
16grandchildren; and his 2 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
19Lawrence Garbs Jr., and we extend our sincere condolences to
