SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joyce Elizabeth Dwyer of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away on May 9, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joyce Dwyer was born on April 10, 1934, in Dayton,
6Ohio, to Adam and Lois (Lane) Grismer; her mother passed away
7when she was young and she was raised by her father and her
8stepmother, Mary Grismer; she married William "Bill" Dwyer; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Joyce Dwyer was most proud of her work with the
10Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal lake; she and her husband
11Bill, aided in the founding of the Crystal Lake Gala and
12parade; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Joyce Dwyer enjoyed gardening, reading, and
14singing in the community choir, which she helped found; she
15also sang in the choir at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic
16Church for more than 30 years; she was a member of the P.E.O.
17Women's Organization, the St. Jude Guild, and the Knit Wits;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Joyce Dwyer was preceded in death by her parents;
20her husband, Bill; her sister, Anita Boop; and her brother,
21Gale Grismer; and

1    WHEREAS, Joyce Dwyer is survived by her children, Mary
2Krikorian, Maureen (Stephen) Regele, Thomas O'Connor, Daniel
3O'Connor, Daniel Dwyer, and Robert (Renee) Dwyer; her
4grandchildren, Kelley Regele, Megan Regele, Joseph Krikorian,
5Elyse Krikorian, Katherine Regle, Chris (Melissa) Dwyer, Blake
6(Meagan) Dwyer, Dylan Dwyer, and Cameron Dwyer; and her
7great-granddaughter, Delanee Dwyer; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Joyce Dwyer, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
11friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Joyce Dwyer as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
