SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert M. Lete of Alvin, who passed away
4on August 5, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Lete was born on April 17, 1927 in Belgium,
6Illinois; his parents were Eli and Catherine (nee Nora) Lete;
7he married Jean Pettice on October 2, 1954 at St. Patrick's
8(now Holy Family) Church in Danville; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Lete graduated from Westville Township
10High School in 1944; in May of 1945, he enlisted in the United
11States Navy, where he served aboard a minesweeper on the West
12Coast in anticipation of the invasion of Japan; he was
13honorably discharged from the service in 1946; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Lete was employed by Bohn
15Aluminum/Heatcraft Corporation in Danville for 37 years until
16his retirement in 1992; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Lete was preceded in death by his parents
18and his sister, Lorraine Carpenter; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Robert Lete is survived by his wife, Jean; his
20son, Jeffrey (Thelma Acree) Lete; his daughters, Laura Jean

1(Toby) Cox and Sarah Beth (Michael) Baird; his grandchildren,
2Amanda and Katherine Lete, Aaron Zickmund, and Tristan Cox; his
3great-granddaughter, Natalie Lete; his brother, Edward Lete;
4and his sister, Nora Marie Price; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert M. Lete; and be
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Robert Lete as an expression of our
11sympathy.
