SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Queen Esther Tramble of Chicago, who
4passed away on July 8, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Queen Tramble was born on September 10, 1960, in
6Chicago to Ella Mae Haymon and Cornelius Tramble; following the
7passing of her parents at a young age, she moved to Saint
8Louis, Missouri, and attended Central High School; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Queen Tramble returned to Chicago and was raised
10by Victoria Woods; she met Aldophus "Al" Kindle during the
11Harold Washington election campaign and he recruited her to
12work for the re-election campaign; they were married on October
1326, 1996; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Queen Tramble volunteered and worked for the
15Chicago Housing Authority for approximately 15 years in a
16variety of positions that dealt with outreach services; she
17loved working with children and families in public housing and
18fought for programs and equal opportunities for all; she was a
19tireless advocate for youth education and life advancement and
20received numerous awards and certificates; she worked for a
21brief time for the Express Bus Company; and

1    WHEREAS, Queen Tramble was a member of Kingdom of Christ
2Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the choir and
3the usher board; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Queen Tramble was preceded in death by her
5parents; her sister, Gloria Tramble; and her brother, Irving
6Tramble; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Queen Tramble is survived by her husband, Al
8Kindle; her daughters, Surrebea Tramble and Chantia and Kamilah
9Kindle; her sons, Darnell Johnson and Atukwe Kindle; her
10sisters, Annie, Princetta, and Telecia Tramble; her brother,
11Troy Tramble; her grandchildren, Mariah Perrin, Tyronnesha
12Watson, Daniel Roberts Jr., and Adrian Johnson; her close
13friends, Helen Bowman, Brenda Brown, Laura Bass, and Lashawn
14Waiters; and a host of nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
17Queen Esther Tramble, and extend our sincere condolences to her
18family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
19further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21presented to the family of Queen Tramble as an expression of
22our deepest sympathy.
