SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Paul Rosenberg; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Paul Rosenberg was an ardent supporter of Jewish
5education in Chicago; he was an honorary president and a
612-year Past President of Associated Talmud Torahs of Chicago,
7and served on the organization's board for many years; he was
8also a member of the Hebrew Theological College Board of
9Directors and chaired the building committee for the Ida Crown
10Jewish Academy; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Paul Rosenberg was an active member of the Jewish
12United Fund; he was a member of the JF Jewish Education
13Committee and served as chair of the Jewish United Fund
14Congregations Division, the Miami Snowbirds, and the event at
15Congregation Ezras Israel in West Rogers Park; he also served
16the organization as a Campaign Special Advisor and a Golden
17Giver; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Paul Rosenberg was the beloved husband of Doris
19(nee Raskin) for 69 years; he was the loving father of Mark
20(Elaine) Rosenberg, Ira (Debra) Rosenberg, and Sharon
21(Seymour) Gertz; the proud grandfather of Nadine (Nosson)
22Czako, Erica (Gershon) Fiedler, Kenneth Rosenberg, Aliza

1(Brad) Olswang, Ariella (Rabbi Mordechai) Loiterman, Adina
2Rosenberg, Sheila (Dr. Jonathan) Resnick, Stanford (Mashie)
3Gertz, and Stacey (Avi) Zanjirian; the cherished
4great-grandfather of 27; and the dear brother of the late Anne
5(the late George) Rosin, the late Sam (the late Lill)
6Rosenberg, the late Harry (Sadie) Rosenberg, the late Abe (the
7late Selma) Rosenberg, the late Label (Eileen) Rosenberg, and
8the late Gordon Rosenberg; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Paul Rosenberg; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Paul Rosenberg as an expression of
15our sympathy.
