SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Will E. Stewart, Jr., who passed away on
4December 8, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Will Stewart, Jr. was born on November 7, 1952 in
6Phillips, Mississippi; his parents were Merlene and Will E.
7Stewart, Sr.; he married Vonnie R. Sawyer on December 8, 1990;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Will Stewart, Jr. spent his childhood years in
10Mississippi and Tennessee; at the age of 10, he and his family
11relocated to Chicago, where he subsequently attended
12Forestville High School and graduated from the Postal Academy;
13in 1993, he and his wife relocated to Houston, Texas, where
14they lived for 23 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Will Stewart, Jr. was an employee at U.S. Steel
16Tubular Products in Houston, Texas; he was also the co-owner
17and founder of Chi-Town Ribs and Pizza; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Will Stewart, Jr. enjoyed fishing and making meals
19for his family; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Will Stewart, Jr. was preceded in death by his

1sister, Glenda, and his beloved dog, Rambo; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Will Stewart, Jr. is survived by his wife, Vonnie
3Stewart; his son, Will E. Stewart III; his daughter, Erika
4Stewart; his siblings, Linda (Gary), Dorothy, Beverly, Sheila,
5Micheal, Terry (Rebecca), Granville (Shanaven), Gary (Karen),
6Kimberly, and Rhonda; his many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews,
7cousins, and godchildren; the children he loved and raised as
8his own, Tamra and Kevion; and his many friends; therefore, be
9it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Will E. Stewart, Jr.;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Will Stewart, Jr. as an expression
16of our sympathy.
