SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Roger Burritt Morrison of Arlington
4Heights, who passed away on February 27, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Roger Morrison was born on October 10, 1930 to
6Donald and Marion (nee Lasier) Morrison; he graduated from
7Highland Park High School in 1949 and studied 2 years at the
8American Academy of Art in Chicago; he served in the United
9States Air Force as a refueling pilot from 1951 to 1955; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Roger Morrison worked for the Leo Burnett
11Advertising Agency and the John Birch Society before opening
12one of the first quick print shops in Glenview, "Printing While
13You Wait"; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Roger Morrison and his first wife, Susan, were
15founding members of the Church of Christian Liberty in 1965;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Roger Morrison was preceded in death by his wife
18of 33 years, Susan (nee Teegarden); his brother, Robert; and
19his sister, Jane Burns; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Roger Morrison is survived by his sister, Mary

1(Robert) Cash; his sons, Mark (Donna), Scott (Missy), Thomas
2(Bethany), and Robert (Sheri); his second wife, Florie (nee
3Lindstrom); and her children, Karla (Mike) McHugh, Kimberly
4(David) Rapp, Peter (Callie) Lindstrom, and Calvin (Rebekah)
5Lindstrom; and their combined 35 grandchildren and
6great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Roger Burritt Morrison, and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Roger Morrison as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
