2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Maurice E. "Skip" Keniley of O'Fallon, |
4 | | who passed away on March 29, 2014; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley was born on December 22, 1932 in |
6 | | East St. Louis; and
|
7 | | WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley was employed with Mobil Oil in |
8 | | Joliet for nearly 40 years; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley served his country as a member of |
10 | | the United States Air Force in Suwon, South Korea during the |
11 | | Korean Conflict; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley was a member of the Veterans of |
13 | | Foreign Wars in Fairview Heights, St. Clare Catholic Church, |
14 | | and St. Clare Seniors; he was a 3rd Degree Knight with O'Fallon |
15 | | Knights of Columbus Council 4239 and a 4th Degree Knight with |
16 | | Assembly 1829; he was also a member of the Ancient Order of |
17 | | Hibernians; and |
18 | | WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley was preceded in death by his first |
19 | | wife, Carole (nee Stites) Keniley; his parents, Patrick M. |
20 | | Keniley, Jr. and Bessie (nee Cochran) Keniley; his daughter, |

1 | | Maura Pedersen; and his brothers, Patrick Keniley, Jr. and |
2 | | Emmet Keniley; and

3 | | WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley is survived by his wife, Gayle |
4 | | (nee Sibert) Keniley; his children, Michael (Marsha) Keniley, |
5 | | Mary Sebby, Martin (Nancy) Keniley, Norman Keniley, Margaret |
6 | | (Dale) Hanson, Teresa (Joseph) Coccaro, and Sean Keniley; his |
7 | | step-children, Craig (Jenny) Literski, Brett (fiancee, |
8 | | Stephanie) Literski, and Melissa (Chad) Allen; his |
9 | | brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George Sibert, Jackie |
10 | | Keniley, Patty Werner, and Darrell Stites; and his many |
11 | | grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and special nieces and |
12 | | nephews; therefore, be it

13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
15 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Maurice E. "Skip" |
16 | | Keniley; and be it further

17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
18 | | presented to the family of Maurice Keniley as an expression of |
19 | | our sympathy.
