SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Celine "CENE" (nee Solley) Schwartz of
4Shorewood, who passed away on March 27, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Celine Schwartz was born in Joliet to Norman and
6Marjorie (nee Ward) Solley; she graduated from Lockport
7Township High School and Joliet Junior College with an
8associate degree in accounting; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Celine Schwartz owned CENE's Golden Leash in the
10Shorewood Shopping Plaza since 1978; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Celine Schwartz was actively involved with her
12community; she was a Shorewood Village Trustee for 22 years,
13Chairman of Shorewood Parks and Recreation, a member of the
14Shorewood Planning and Zoning Commission, a charter member of
15Shorewood C.O.P.S., co-chair of Shorewood Citizens Advisory, a
16member of Shorewood Ladies of the Lions, and past-President and
17member of the Troy Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary
18for over 20 years; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Celine Schwartz was preceded in death by her
20parents; her son, Brett Eric Schwartz; and by her daughter,
21Bretta Lynn Schwartz; and

1    WHEREAS, Celine Schwartz is survived by her husband of 44
2years, Robert F. Schwartz, Jr. and by her sisters, Karen
3(Jerry) Bozych and Mary Lou Arnold; she was the sister-in-law
4of Jyme (Thomas) Hurley and Steven (Tammy) Schwartz; the dear
5aunt of Bart (Wendy) Bozych, Kelly (Lou) Haussman, Thomas
6(Christy) Hurley, Kevin (Amanda) Hurley, Carissa (Shawn)
7Garland, and Chad Schwartz; and the great-aunt of Brooke,
8Brandon, Jackson, Ava, Louie, Hayden, Owen, and Mason;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Celine "CENE" Schwartz, and extend our sincere condolences to
13her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Celine Schwartz as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
