SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Viola A. "Vicky" Reidel of Beach Park,
4who passed away on February 6, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Vicky Reidel was born in Ivanhoe on October 4,
61920 to Mike and Marie (nee Schutz) Wirtz; she graduated from
7Libertyville Township High School in 1938 and married Lowell
8"Bill" Reidel on September 28, 1940; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Vicky Reidel worked for Welcome Wagon
10International for 42 years, retiring at age 75 after having
11welcomed over 24,000 new residents to the Lake County area; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Vicky Reidel enjoyed traveling, dancing the
13polka, and playing cards at the Park Place Senior Center in
14Waukegan and at family gatherings; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Vicky Reidel was preceded in death by her parents;
16her husband of over 49 years, Bill; her sister and
17brother-in-law, Joe and Dorothy Liesenfelt; a grandson, Jeff
18Paquin; and great-grandson, Logan Zelen; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Vicky Reidel had 2 sons, Bill (Jean) Reidel and
20Roy (Barbara) Reidel; 8 grandchildren, Debbie, Leslie, John,

1Wendy, Matt, Hope, Jason, and Adam; 13 great-grandchildren; 7
2great-great-grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Viola A. "Vicky" Reidel, and extend our sincere condolences to
7her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Vicky Reidel as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
