SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Henry James Pye, III of Bolingbrook, who
4passed away on April 8, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Henry Pye was born in Chicago on September 23,
61944 to Eugenia Lewis and Henry James Pye, II; he was educated
7in Chicago and a graduate of Stanford University in Stanford,
8California with a degree in Engineering; he served in the
9United States Air Force and was discharged on May 27, 1971; he
10was married to Diane Bell from 1971 to 1987, and, in 1989,
11married Carole Caywood; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Henry Pye was employed by Bell Communications from
131969 until 1992; he worked in the Chicago office as an engineer
14and later in the Lisle office as a graphic artist; he also
15worked for Motorola in Oakbrook and Sprint in Rosemont as a
16cellular phone engineer; he retired in 2004; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Henry Pye enjoyed drawing and playing cards and
18slots; he was a member of the DuPage County Democratic
19Committee and was a member of the "slackers" at the Bolingbrook
20Aquatic Center; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Henry Pye was preceded in death by his parents,

1and by his step-father, George Whitfield; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Henry Pye is survived by his wife, Carole
3Caywood-Pye; his children, Yurialyse Pye, Henry James Pye IV
4(Kimberly), Daniel Pye, Ashley Lyles, and Camille Pye; a
5sister, Sharon Harris; a nephew, Charles Harris; his
6sister-in-law, Debra Caywood-Rukas; brother-in-law, Linus
7Rukus; nephew, Jake Rukus; his grandchildren, Alexander Pye,
8Kennedy Pye, Makayla Pye, and Sheridan Lyles; and a host of
9relatives and friends; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Henry James Pye, III, and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Henry Pye as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
