SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Diane Andrea Carlson of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on May 15, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Diane Carlson was born on March 30, 1949 in 
6Chicago; her parents were Burton W. and Virgina V. (nee 
7Valentine) Carlson; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, After graduating from college and obtaining her 
9master's degree, Diane Carlson became a teacher at St. 
10Anastasia School, teaching various grades for 19 years; she 
11also served as a reading instructor in the Waukegan School 
12District; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Diane Carlson was an avid dog lover; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Diane Carlson was preceded in death by her 
15parents; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Diane Carlson is survived by 2 brothers, Wayne 
17(Cynthia) and Douglas (Mari) Carlson; 2 nephews, Andrew 
18(Jennifer) and Adam (Jennifer) Carlson; a great-niece, McKayla 
19Carlson; and many cousins and friends; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Diane Andrea Carlson; 
4and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Diane Carlson as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
