SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alene C. Gerl, who passed away on June
416, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alene Gerl was a valued employee of Dr. Raymond
6Fricke, MD in Joliet for over 30 years; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Alene Gerl was a life-long member of Crystal Lawn
8Church of the Nazarene, where she dedicated many hours to
9teaching Sunday school and many other church activities; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Alene Gerl was preceded in death by her first
11husband, Andrew Taras; her second husband, John Gerl; her
12parents, Frank and Frances (nee Carter) Pearcy; 2 brothers, Bob
13and Jim Pearcy; 3 sisters, Virginia Long, Mabel Cibulka, and
14Betty Beavias; and a grandson, Frankie Rury; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Alene Gerl is survived by 5 loving children, Andy
16(Tania) Taras, Karen DeBenedetti, Helene (Larry) Setmeyer,
17Rachelle Prodehl, and John (Ronae) Gerl; 14 cherished
18grandchildren, Scott and Nick Taras, Mario (Lori), Darin
19(Dana), and Dedra DeBenedetti, Dawne (Dan) Mihelich, Wally
20(Julie), Andy (Angie), and Adam (Andrea) Setmeyer, Jayme Rury,
21Rachael (John) Todd, Rebecca (Dave) Burlingame, Johnny, and

1Haley Gerl; her loving twin sister, Irene Capista; a special
2niece, Linda Brosam; 4 special nephews, Len, Larry, and Lee
3Capista and Paul Cibulka; and many loving great-grandchildren,

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Alene C. Gerl; and be
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Alene Gerl as an expression of our
11sympathy.
