SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mina I. Riddle of Oak Park, who passed
4away on June 26, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mina Riddle was born on September 4, 1939; her
6parents were Maurice and Sarah Gold; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Mina Riddle was a graduate of Michigan State
8University; after serving for a brief time in the United States
9Army, she worked as a social worker for the State of Illinois;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, In 1978, Mina Riddle moved to Oak Park, where she
12worked in the daycare field and became a foster mother; she
13also worked in the Oak Park School District with special needs
14children; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Mina Riddle was active in the League of Women
16Voters; she also volunteered with the Oak Park-River Forest
17Historical Society and tutored English language students; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Mina Riddle is survived by her husband, Bob; 2
19children, Diane (Chris) Balducci and Joe Riddle; and 2
20grandchildren, Logan and Ryan; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Mina I. Riddle; and be
4it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Mina Riddle as an expression of our
7sympathy.
