SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frederick Lewis Guldin of Oak Park, who
4passed away on August 15, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin was born in Loves Park on
6February 25, 1940; he served for 4 years in the United States
7Navy; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin worked as a switchman for Conrail
9and Norfolk Southern railroads for 43 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin enjoyed working on his home,
11fishing, and spending weekends in the country with his family;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin was married to Lois (nee Norris)
14for 40 years; he previously was married to Lois (nee Juravik)
15Black; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin was preceded in death by his
17step-son, Robert Thivel; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin is survived by his wife, Lois;
19his children, Christine Busch, Jennifer (Harry) Forberg, and

1Russell (Aimee) Guldin; his step-children, Linda (Peter)
2Balderas, Lawrence (Marilyn) Thivel, Joseph Petruzelli, and
3Barbara (Bruce) Kneeland; 17 grandchildren; and 7
4great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Frederick Lewis Guldin, and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Frederick Guldin as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
