SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Christopher "Chris" Lockard, who passed
4away on August 17, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Christopher Lockard was born on October 3, 1946;
6and
 
7    WHEREAS, Christopher Lockard was a co-operator and manager
8of Carl Stirns Marine, Inc.; he was also active in bringing
9power boat racing to the Fox River; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Christopher Lockard was an avid aviator and was
11honored to serve on the Aurora Municipal Airport Advisory Board
12for 25 years; he also served on the Board of Directors of the
13Bank of Montgomery and was a member of the Exchange Club, the
14Chamber of Commerce, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots
15Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association, and the
16Quiet Birdmen; due to his military upbringing, he was a
17consummate patriot; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Christopher Lockard was preceded in death by his
19parents, Leslie and Rosebud (nee Hendley) Lockard, and a
20stepson, Kerry Kahle; and

1    WHEREAS, Christopher Lockard was survived by his wife of 42
2years, Helen Lockard, now deceased; he is survived by 2
3stepsons, Dale and Gregory Kahle; 4 grandchildren, Grayson
4Kahle, Sydney Kahle, Ryan Kahle, and Dana Kahle; a brother,
5Nick (Janeen) Lockard; his close relatives, Carla and Tom
6Teter, Gert and Dick Hills, Marge and Frank Vermaat, and Karen
7and Joe Richmond; his many additional relatives; and his dog,
8Snoopy III; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Christopher "Chris"
12Lockard; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Christopher Lockard as an expression
15of our sympathy.
