SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Winifred "Winx" Pozorski of Oak Park, who 
4passed away on September 6, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Winx Pozorski was born on July 13, 1933; she 
6attended the University of Chicago and Antioch College in 
7pursuit of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree; she was also a 
8student-at-large at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago 
9for many years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Winx Pozorski was a member of the League of Women 
11Voters of Oak Park/River Forest since 1970 and was recognized 
12with the organization's "Hazel Hanson Award" in 2009; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Winx Pozorski enjoyed art and swimming; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Winx Pozorski was preceded in death by her 
15daughter, Katherine; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Winx Pozorski is survived by her husband, Robert; 
172 sons, Matthew and Nathaniel (Laura); 4 grandchildren, Greg, 
18Colin, Samuel, and William; and a brother, David (Libby);

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Winifred "Winx" 
4Pozorski; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Winx Pozorski as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
