4 | | The task force shall also consist of the following members |
5 | | appointed as follows: |
6 | | (A) One member of the Senate appointed by the President |
7 | | of the Senate. |
8 | | (B) One member of the Senate appointed by the Minority |
9 | | Leader of the Senate. |
10 | | (C) One member of the House of Representatives |
11 | | appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. |
12 | | (D) One member of the House of Representatives |
13 | | appointed by the Minority Leader of the House of |
14 | | Representatives. |
15 | | The State Superintendent shall appoint one of the task |
16 | | force members as chairperson of the task force. The task force |
17 | | shall meet at least 4 times to review standardized assessments. |
18 | | This review shall include at least 5% of school districts in |
19 | | this State that represent a regionally equal sampling selected |
20 | | from among those counties of this State other than Cook County |
21 | | and the 5 counties contiguous to Cook County and shall include |
22 | | a school district located in a city having a population over |
23 | | 500,000. The task force shall review the content and design of |
24 | | standardized assessments; the time and money expended to |
25 | | prepare for standardized assessments as measured against the |
26 | | purpose of the assessment; parent, student, and educator |

1 | | perceptions of the level and intensity of standardized |
2 | | assessments; and any other issues involving standardized |
3 | | assessments identified by the task force. The State Board of |
4 | | Education shall provide administrative support to the task |
5 | | force. |
6 | | The task force shall report its findings to the Governor |
7 | | and General Assembly no later than December May 31, 2015, and, |
8 | | upon filing its report, the task force is dissolved. This |
9 | | Section is repealed on January 1, 2016 June 1, 2015 .

11 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
12 | | becoming law.".
