Creates the Jacksonville Developmental Center Reopening Act. Requires the Governor to develop a plan to reopen the Jacksonville Developmental Center, to be submitted to the General Assembly by January 1, 2016. Requires the Jacksonville Developmental Center to reopen within 5 years after the effective date of this Act according to the plan developed by the Governor. Effective immediately.

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the |
| 5 | | Jacksonville Developmental Center Reopening Act.
|
| 6 | | Section 5. Reopening of the Jacksonville Developmental |
| 7 | | Center. |
| 8 | | (a) The Governor shall develop a plan to reopen the |
| 9 | | Jacksonville Developmental Center. This plan shall be |
| 10 | | submitted to the General Assembly by January 1, 2016. |
| 11 | | (b) Within 5 years after the effective date of this Act, |
| 12 | | the Jacksonville Developmental Center shall reopen according |
| 13 | | to the plan developed by the Governor under subsection (a) of |
| 14 | | this Section.

| 15 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 16 | | becoming law.
