AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2536

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2536 as follows:
 
3on page 2, immediately below line 7, by inserting the
4following:
5    "(b) No later than September 30, 2016, the Department shall
6provide mandatory annual trainings covering health and safety
7matters appropriate to a home-based setting for non-relative
8providers in the child care assistance program. Non-relative
9providers shall be paid $15 per hour for their attendance and
10time spent at mandatory annual trainings. There shall be no
11charge for non-relative providers to attend mandatory annual
12trainings. Relative providers shall be encouraged, but not
13required, to attend mandatory annual trainings, and shall be
14paid $15 per hour for their attendance and time spent at
15mandatory annual trainings.
16    Trainings shall be offered in person in each service
17delivery area. The Department shall provide mandatory annual

1trainings in reasonably convenient locations, and at
2reasonable dates and times, and shall provide reasonable
3advance notice of available mandatory trainings to providers.
4The Department and the collective bargaining representative of
5the providers shall discuss the locations and schedules for
6mandatory annual trainings and notice to providers. Providers
7may complete no more than 50% of mandatory annual training
8hours online."; and
 
9on page 2, line 8, by replacing "(b)" with "(c)".
