2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of John F. Cirricione of Joliet, who passed |
4 | | away on December 16, 2014; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, John Cirricione was born in Joliet on April 24, |
6 | | 1926 to Sylvester and Mary (nee DiLorenzo) Cirricione; he |
7 | | graduated from Joliet Township High School, Joliet Junior |
8 | | College, and The John Marshall Law School; he served in the |
9 | | United States Navy; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, John Cirricione worked in private practice in |
11 | | Joliet for 31 years; he was then appointed Associate Judge of |
12 | | the 12th Judicial Circuit, a position he held for 17 years; he |
13 | | was admitted as an Attorney and Counselor of the Supreme Court |
14 | | of the United States; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, John Cirricione was an avid drummer, starting in |
16 | | high school and continuing throughout his entire life; he was a |
17 | | member of the American Legion Band, the Shrine Club Band, and |
18 | | played in the Jay Mau Orchestra; he was a member of Joliet |
19 | | Masonic Temple Matteson Lodge #175, Ancient Free and Accepted |
20 | | Masons; past President of the Joliet Chapter of UNICO; a member |
21 | | of American Federation of Musicians Local #37; and a former |
22 | | member of the Joliet Junior College Board; he enjoyed spending |

1 | | time his wife, Betty, at their home in Arkansas; and
|
2 | | WHEREAS, John Cirricione was preceded in death by his first |
3 | | wife, Nancy (nee Eckert) Cirricione; his son, John Cirricione; |
4 | | his parents; his sister, Anna Marie (Thomas) Turigliatto; and |
5 | | his step-son, Joseph Holzgethan; and

6 | | WHEREAS, John Cirricione is survived by his wife, Betty A. |
7 | | (nee Baxter) Cirricione; his daughter, Sandra (Thomas) |
8 | | Cowgill; his 2 sons, Thomas (Karen) Cirricione and Richard |
9 | | (Candace) Cirricione; his 2 step-children, William (Marilyn) |
10 | | Holzgethan and Ruth (Brian) Gabor; his 11 grandchildren, Mark |
