SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Joseph W. Franzone of Richmond, who 
4passed away on July 19, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Franzone was born in Chicago on April 29, 
61947 to Sam and Lorraine (Blank) Franzone; he graduated from 
7Roosevelt High School in Chicago in 1965 and served in the 
8United States Army as a SP5 from July of 1966 to July of  1968 as 
9a heavy vehicle driver; he married Debbie Larson on April 11, 
101974 in Villa Park; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Joseph Franzone worked as a corrections officer at 
12the McHenry County Sheriffs Department in Woodstock for 17 
13years, retiring in 2011; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Joseph Franzone was a former member of the Italian 
15American Police Association; he loved fishing, golf, pool, and 
16trap shooting; he was a member of the National Rifle 
17Association; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Joseph Franzone was preceded in death by his 
19parents and his sister, Denise Franzone; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Joseph Franzone is survived by his wife, Debbie;

1his 2 daughters, Sarah Franzone and Elizabeth (Travis) 
2Rogers-Franzone, and his  son, Angelo (Becky) Franzone; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Joseph W. Franzone, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Joseph Franzone as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
