SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Allan L. Waldschmidt of Henry, who passed
4away on July 31, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Allan Waldschmidt was born in Peoria on October
625, 1946 to Julius H. and Doris (nee Reising) Waldschmidt; he
7married Vicki A. Moore on June 27, 1970 in Peoria; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Allan Waldschmidt farmed in the Henry area for
9over 45 years; he retired from the Caterpillar Tractor Company
10as an electrical journeyman after over 30 years; he served as a
11volunteer fireman for 51 years with the Henry Fire Protection
12District and was a Trustee for the district for 15 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Allan Waldschmidt was a longtime member of St.
14Patrick Catholic Church in Camp Grove and a member of St.
15Dominic Catholic Church in Wyoming, where he served as a
16Trustee; he was a precinct committeeman with the Republican
17Party and volunteered at the Family Resources Center, the
18Spring Festival of Life Auction, and The Catholic Diocese of
19Peoria Men's Walk; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Allan Waldschmidt was preceded in death by his
21parents; one unborn child, Mary/Joseph Waldschmidt; and his

1brother-in-law, Howard Shipman; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Allan Waldschmidt is survived by his wife, Vicki;
3his children, Michael (Nicci) Waldschmidt, Thomas (Toni)
4Waldschmidt, and Patricia Waldschmidt; his 4 grandchildren,
5Haley, Collin, Aaron, and Ellianna Waldschmidt; his 4 brothers,
6Marvin (Anita) Waldschmidt, Russell (Pat) Waldschmidt, Ernest
7(Pam) Waldschmidt, and Dean (Kathy) Waldschmidt; and his 2
8sisters, Doreen Shipman and Julie (Bob) Read; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Allan L. Waldschmidt, and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Allan Waldschmidt as an expression
16of our deepest sympathy.
