SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eugenia C. Lenert of Aurora, who passed
4away on September 5, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eugenia Lenert was born on September 27, 1923 in
6Aurora; her parents were Henry and Anna (nee Lentz) Bley; she
7married William E. Lenert, Sr. on August 30, 1947 in Aurora;
8and
 
9    WHEREAS, Eugenia Lenert graduated from Rosary College with
10a degree in math and physics; she began her career at the SDIC
11before working as a statistician for the Chicago Tribune; she
12later taught high school math and physics for many years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Eugenia Lenert was a member of Holy Angels Church,
14where she was a member of the St. Anne Society; she was an
15original board member of Rosary High School; she also
16volunteered with numerous organizations, including the Holy
17Angels Food Pantry, Mercy Hospital, Hesed House, and many
18others; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Eugenia Lenert was preceded in death by her
20parents; her husband, William; and her son-in-law, Thomas A.
21Hurrell, Sr.; and

1    WHEREAS, Eugenia Lenert is survived by her children, Sharon
2(Dennis) Kripp, Sheila (Michael) Conners, William (Mary)
3Lenert, Jr., Marsha (Jeffrey) Moran, Joyce (Hal) Hindley, and
4Dianne Hurrell; her grandchildren, Colleen (Kevin) Dermody,
5Andrew (Allison) Kripp, Maura (Dave) Cannon, Brad (Katy)
6Conners, Doug (Sheena) Conners, Greg (Caroline) Conners, Katie
7(Tim) Oess, Bill (Sarah) Lenert, Mike (Katie) Lenert, J.R.
8Moran, Nick (Ali) Moran, Danielle Moran, Christy (Will)
9Hunzeker, Kyle Hindley, Tommy Hurrell, Mary Hurrell, and Sarah
10Hurrell; her 20 great-grandchildren; and her special friend and
11caregiver, Ala Bartoszewski; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
14family and friends, mourn the passing of Eugenia C. Lenert; and
15be it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Eugenia Lenert as an expression of
18our sympathy.
