Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Use Tax Act. Provides that "gasohol" means motor fuel that is at least (now, no more than) 90% gasoline and no more than (now, at least) 10% denatured ethanol that contains no more than 1.25% water by weight. Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything. Amends the Use Tax Act. Provides that "gasohol" means motor fuel that is a blend of denatured ethanol and gasoline (now, no more than 90% gasoline and at least 10% denatured ethanol) that contains no more than 1.25% water by weight. Provides that the blend must contain 90% gasoline and 10% denatured ethanol. Allows a maximum of one percent error factor in the amount of denatured ethanol used in the blend to compensate for blending equipment variations. Effective immediately.

 Fiscal Note (Department of Revenue)
 Senate Bill 2370 as amended by SA1, will have no fiscal impact.
