Synopsis As Introduced Amends the State Finance Act. Requires each State agency to report to the State Comptroller the aggregate dollar amount of all current liabilities held at the time of the report and an estimate of any interest penalties that have accrued under the State Prompt Payment Act. Provides that the report shall be made in a time and form prescribed by the State Comptroller. Removes related language.
House Committee Amendment No. 1 Replaces everything after the enacting clause with provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes: Requires State agencies to report current State liabilities held by the agency, by fund source (rather than the aggregate dollar amount of all current liabilities being held) and whether the liabilities are appropriated. Requires the report to be made monthly. Allows the State Comptroller to waive the reporting requirement if a State agency does not have State liabilities.
