Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, the Counties Code, the Illinois Municipal Code, and the School Code to require coverage for medically necessary preventative physical therapy for insureds diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Adds reference to:
30 ILCS 805/8.32 new

Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement.

Governor Amendatory Veto Message
Recommends that the Illinois Insurance Code, Health Maintenance Organization Act, and Voluntary Health Services Plans Act be amended to require health insurance policies to cover autism spectrum disorders. Sets forth requirements concerning age, maximum benefits, co-payments, deductibles, coinsurance, and other matters.
