Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department shall establish and administer a program to make grants to municipalities whose buildings conform with the United States Green Building Council's Leadership on Energy and Design (LEED) rating system.
Senate Committee Amendment No. 2 Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with changes. Provides that the Department shall make grants to municipalities whose buildings conform with nationally recognized and accepted green building guidelines, standards, or systems (instead of the LEED rating system).
