Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Public Utilities Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title of the Telecommunications Article.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
220 ILCS 5/13-100
Adds reference to:
225 ILCS 312/50

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Elevator Safety and Regulation Act. Provides that no inspector's license shall be granted to any person, unless he or she has been certified as meeting the requirements of ASME QEI-1 by a nationally or internationally recognized independent organization (rather than no inspector's license shall be granted to any person, unless he or she proves to the satisfaction of the Office of the State Fire Marshal that he or she meets the current ASME QEI-1, Standards for the Qualifications of Elevator Inspectors).
