Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the State Records Act and the Local Records Act. Provides that a public officer or public agency that has a government credit card issued for use by the public officer or employees of the public officer or agency shall post on the officer's or agency's website a copy of each expense charged on the credit card on or before 60 days after the date the expense was charged. Expenses shall remain the website for at least one year after the expense was originally posted. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that the expense charged on the credit card that must be posted on the website must be charged on the credit card by a public officer. Removes provisions concerning expenses of employees of a public officer or agency.

Fiscal Note, House Floor Amendment No. 2 (Office of the Comptroller)
The Office of the Comptroller estimates this amendment would have an insignificant cost to the operations of individual state agencies, boards, and other state officers. In reference to the Local Records Act, the Office is unable to ascertain the cost to various local governmental entities but would estimate that the cost would be relatively insignificant as well so long as the posting requirement applies to those entities that have a full-time staff.
