Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Criminal Identification Act. Provides that all policing bodies of this State shall furnish to the Department of State Police, daily, in the form and detail the Department requires, fingerprints and descriptions of minors who are the subject of a petition for adjudication of delinquency under the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 (rather than minors arrested for Class A or B misdemeanors). Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987. Provides that whenever a minor has attained the age of 17, any local law enforcement agency maintaining law enforcement records pertaining to that minor shall automatically expunge those records only if (1) the minor has been arrested but no petitions for delinquency have ever been filed with the clerk of the circuit court and no criminal proceedings have been instituted, and (2) the minor has not been arrested within the year prior to his or her 17th birthday. Makes other changes.
