Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides for the issuance of The Prairie State license plates. Provides that in addition to the appropriate registration fees, an applicant for the special plate shall be charged a fee of $25 at original issuance, which shall be deposited into the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund.

Replace everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Downstate Public Transportation Act, Metropolitan Transit Authority Act, Local Mass Transit District Act, and Regional Transportation Authority Act. Provides that free services shall be provided to seniors aged 65 or older who have an annual household income that does not exceed for households of one person 150%, for households of 2 persons 150%, or for households with 3 or more persons 125% of the income eligibility limitation for benefits under the Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons Property Tax Relief and Pharmaceutical Assistance Act. Provides that the requirement must be imposed no later than 180 days after the effective date of the amendatory Act. Provides that the Department on Aging shall furnish all information necessary to establish eligibility for free service. Provides that the new provisions become inoperative 2 years after the effective date of the amendatory Act. Effective immediately.
