Synopsis As Introduced
Repeals the Community Senior Services and Resources Act.

House Floor Amendment No. 3
Adds reference to:

Replaces everything after the enacting clause with the provisions of the bill as introduced plus House Amendments Nos. 1 and 2. Amends the Illinois Act on the Aging concerning the program established by the Department on Aging to prevent unnecessary institutionalization of persons age 60 and older in need of long term care or who are established as persons who suffer from Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder. Requires that the Department's case management program shall be a fully integrated care coordination program. Sets forth requirements for the care coordination program. Repeals the Community Senior Services and Resources Act. Amends the Older Adult Services Act. Makes changes to the requirements for the restructuring of the older adult services delivery system. Amends the Family Caregiver Act; repeals a Section concerning a family caregiver demonstration grant. Provides that neither the Governor nor any agency or agency head under the jurisdiction of the Governor has any rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion. Effective immediately.
