Synopsis As Introduced
Resolves that the State of Illinois establish an affordable Alzheimer's housing-with-services program that builds off of both the Supportive Living Facilities and the Comprehensive Community Residential Settings programs.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Makes changes in "Whereas" clauses concerning (i) Supportive Living Facilities and (ii) the Department on Aging's Comprehensive Care In Residential Settings (instead of Comprehensive Community Residential Settings) program. Resolves that the State "may" establish an affordable Alzheimer's housing-with-services program. Resolves that the affordable Alzheimer's housing with services program build off existing programs (instead of off certain specified programs). Resolves that existing programs be considered for participation (instead of permitted to participate). Resolves that the program be designed to permit the State to access federal matching funds (instead of resolving that appropriate Medicaid waivers be sought to access enhanced federal matching funds). Deletes a provision resolving that the Department of Healthcare and Family Services, the Department of Public Health, and the Department on Aging collaborate in connection with the program.
