Synopsis As Introduced
Proposes to amend the Bill of Rights Article of the Illinois Constitution to add a provision stating that all persons shall have the right to decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing, which right shall not be denied or abridged by the State or by any subdivision of the State, and that the General Assembly may provide by law for the enforcement and implementation of this provision. Effective upon being declared adopted in accordance with Section 7 of the Illinois Constitutional Amendment Act.
