Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Insurance Code, the Health Maintenance Organization Act, and the Voluntary Health Services Plans Act to provide coverage for federally approved Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems. Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides for coverage for Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems that are approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration and deemed medically necessary by a physician (instead of only approved by the federal Food and Drug Administration).
