Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that all passenger trains, engines, and vehicles operated by a contract carrier transporting railroad employees in the course of their employment shall contain a first aid kit that contains, at a minimum, those articles described in the most recent American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z308.1 as recommended by Appendix A to 29 C.F.R. Section 1910.151, for first aid to persons who may be injured.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause with similar provisions, except provides that the first aid kits are to be equipped with those articles prescribed by the Illinois Commerce Commission (instead of those articles described in the most recent American National Standards Institute Z308.1 as recommended by Appendix A to 29 C.F.R. Section 1910.151).
