Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Tax Delinquency Amnesty Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning an amnesty program.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
35 ILCS 745/10
Adds reference to:
305 ILCS 20/13
305 ILCS 20/15 new

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Energy Assistance Act. Provides that the Supplemental Low-Income Energy Assistance Fund may receive moneys from voluntary donations from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other sources. Provides that no later than February 15, 2006, the Treasurer of the State of Illinois shall transfer into the Supplemental Low-Income Energy Assistance Fund $5,201,055, which is equivalent to 50% of the average amount of Gas Revenue Tax paid per residential gas utility customer in State fiscal year 2005 multiplied by the number of residential gas utility customers that received assistance from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program during the State fiscal year 2005 winter heating season. Effective immediately.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause and reinserts provisions substantially similar to those of the engrossed bill, amending the Energy Assistance Act, except requires the State Treasurer to transfer moneys into the Supplemental Low-Income Energy Assistance Fund immediately upon the effective date of this amendatory Act, but no later than 5 business days after that effective date (instead of requiring that the moneys be transferred no later than February 15, 2006). Effective immediately.
