Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a vehicle weighing 10,000 pounds to 26,000 pounds (rather than only a truck tractor in combination with a semitrailer) shall be subject to a safety test at an official testing station at least every 12 months.
House Floor Amendment No. 1 Provides that the requirement of a safety test at least every 12 months applies to truck tractors, semitrailers, and property-carrying vehicles weighing more than 10,000 pounds but less than 26,001 (rather than truck tractors in combination with a semitrailer and vehicles weighing 10,000 to 26,000 pounds).
