Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Structural Pest Control Act. Provides that a person convicted of a second or subsequent violation of specific provisions concerning licensure requirements is guilty of a Class 4 felony. Amends the Illinois Pesticide Act. Provides criminal penalties for retailers or wholesalers distributing or selling a pesticide not registered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the bill as introduced with the following changes: Provides criminal penalties for retailers and wholesalers who distribute or sell pesticides that have never been registered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (rather than pesticides not registered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the Illinois Department of Agriculture) and makes changes in the definition of "retailer".
