Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the earned income tax credit.

Adds reference to:
35 ILCS 5/203from Ch. 120, par. 2-203

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the bonus depreciation deduction provisions in the Illinois Income Tax Act. Provides that the current provisions that de-couple the amount of the deduction allowed by Illinois from the amount allowed for federal income tax purposes apply to taxable years ending prior to December 31, 2003. Provides a new method of calculating the depreciation deduction incorporating provisions that de-couple the amount of the deduction for the expense of certain depreciable business assets allowed for Illinois income tax purposes from the amount allowed for federal income tax purposes. Effective immediately.
